Romanesque and romantic
A small romanesque church improve
the splendour of Villa Quaranta.
A CHURCH OF GREAT CHARM
Architectural elements and frescoes characterize the intimate atmosphere of the Romanesque church dedicated to the purification of the Virgin dating back to the 1461. Sunday mass as well as private celebrations, art and lyrical music events are still hosted in the church.
In the inner side we find a unique work of art, a didactic comic strip like painting, portraying Pilate’s tribunal.
This is a masterpiece dating back to the 1200 by veronese painter Paolo Ligozzi.
The church is open to all guests who want to visit it.
